In 1978, a group of homebuilders and suppliers joined together to create an Association that would serve the needs of the rapidly growing housing industry in Saline County. The initial purpose of the Association was to enchance the climate for housing construction and monitor cummunity activities to safeguard the affordability, quality and safety of new housing. The Association's founders were dedicated to serving the needs of its members and promoting the rights of homeownership.

Today, with the housing industry in Saline County still growing, the purpose of Saline Home Builders Association remains the same as it was 40 years ago, and today's Association leaders are still dedicated to serving the needs of members and promoting home-ownership.
